Sorry, that must be thus some misunderstanding. What is sure is that the
compilation of Matplotlib does indicate that the wxAgg backend will not be
compiled (so the not supported part, tehre was some messages about using the
wx backend directly), and that I had this message with wxPython 2.8 and a
recent (back then) Matplotlib.
