Good to get that in the archives, but my point is the same:

If you wanted a wxPython-based editor that handles the AltGR key 
properly, would it make sense to start a new one from scratch? Or to 
work out patches to fix one of the existing editors?

Anyway, the pyxides list is providing a forum for sharing of code and 
techniques among a bunch of editor/IDE writers, so things are moving in 
the right direction....
