I agree with Richie. I work for the government and we only just got all
our PCs upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 98 last year. Looking at the 
in-use PCs right now, it looks like over 50% have 512 MB of RAM in them or
less.

Only gamers and people buying new PCs in the last year or two get 1 GB of
RAM or more by default.
