We have very extensive documentation on every class, method and
property in the framework (see http://paul.dabodev.com/doc/api/
dabodoc/). But that, IMO, is almost useless when it comes time to
figure out how to put it all together; 'how-tos' are much more
important for someone new to Dabo. Think about using sizers: you can
have all the documentation in the world on the available classes:
their methods and parameters, etc., but until you understand just how
these things work together, these wonderful constructs are stumbling
blocks.
Don't get me wrong: I would love to be able to tell someone to click
an entry in Synaptic and have Dabo installed on their machine.
Several people have mentioned creating the package for us in the
past, and never followed through (the scourge of open source
projects!). But is unzipping a tar file and typing 'python setup.py
install' really that much of a barrier?
