Sorry, I didn't mean to be insulting -- just calling it as I saw it.

Well, for someone that is looking for a code editor -- a music player 
mode really does look like a sidetrack!

But if it gets you a cleaner, more flexible architecture then great!

I think that is a key goal -- the easier it to contribute major modes 
the more you'll get them, and no one person is ever going to be able to 
write them all.
