refreshing a sizer?

I'm making a sort of slideshow application and have an
interesting problem: when I swap out the first
wx.Image, the sizer adjusts and keeps the image
centered vertically and horizontally. But when the
second image swaps out, the sizer doesn't fix the
centering...

If I resize the window, however, the sizer does its
job and centers everything.

Is there some way to tell the sizer to refresh? Or
some other way to do it?

I tried self.Refresh(), no help.
