Well, yes and know. I've built it very much with interactive drawing in 
mind -- but you do need to write a fair bit of custom code to do it. Do 
look at the Demos -- there is some of that there, even though there 
isn't any in the large FloatCanvasDemo.

yes -- it may be what you want, but if it's far enough off, then 
FloatCanvas may be a good way to build exactly what you do want.

He was making great progress a while ago, but may have stalled out. I 
don't know. It might be worth a note to the author.
