[wxPython-users] Newbie has a statusbar problem

Actually, you are creating a *new* statusbar everytime you change the 
text, and the parent of that new statusbar is the panel.

You already are passing it.  It's the parent of the panel, right?  So 
you can just use something like

	self.GetParent().SetStatusText(text, position)
