saving/loading an ogl diagram and shapes

I haven't saved shapes but I would think you would want the x,y location, 
the name of the shape, text if you are using it..  I am generating shapes 
from text files in my dex tracker project but I haven't reversed it yet to 
saving them back to a file.  It can be done as a text file to make it easier 
for the user to hack or build new programs for the data.

I am kinda stuck for now because I used the example program that executes 
run.py and then a program called tracker.py and it doesn't seem to work well 
when called from another program..  I am told this is a simple project (on 
the list) so I put it up for bid on rentacoder (searching python will make 
the bid request come up...  I am also willing to barter and create a format 
and read and write routines for you
