Aja?? how many time and $$ do you have to spend in the task to solute
that problem?
In a first look, I see then he need the Python system works in WinME he
need install wxPython ANSI version, in my case, I develop all my App
with the UNICODE version, and for solute that I need to perform a great
job checking issues for migration.

Uhm.... if the client dont have money for an OS upgrade... and we dont
speak about migrate XP -> Vista... WMe its a very old OS...

I know people then works well with W95, but Robin make thats work
because wxPython is a FREE framework, for commercial App you have some
other considerations...
