That still doesn't help anything. His application might not just be
for personal use; these issues could just as easily be coming from
customers. It would be really ignorant, and a very poor business
decision to tell all your customers using ME they have to change their
OS to use your program, instead of just fixing the bugs/issues in
your program. You would probably lose customers and money, and they
would find someone else who WILL support them.

Yes, I used Windows ME and hated it. I don't know why anyone would
ever put themselves through it. But people do, and they need
applications, and businesses who create applications supporting it
will probably be more successful and have happier clients.

Hopefully this helps you understand that not all people here are
creating applications for just themselves, and they have to work
with what the installed base is. Why do you think Robin is making
Python 2.3 builds? I suspect it is at least partially for this
very reason. It is important to balance an encouragement to upgrade
with support of older systems for people who have no control over
such things.
