wx.SplashScreen and animated GIF

Hi,

I am developing a small application, and the client dislikes the
static bitmap as SplashScreen. He would rather have some kind of
animation, like a animated GIF playing while the application
initializes.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

Any hints appreciated, thanks,
