wxPython 2.6.3.3 Widget styles not showing?

This is an odd problem I'm having. I am relatively new to wxPython.  I
had created some previous projects with no trouble, but I have
recently switched environments and a new project is being a bit
quirky. Let me explain further, but give you these links first, the
first is my source code, and the second is a screen capture of my
Window.

When I run the older projects, the styles and widget borders seem to
be normal, but with this newer project my widgets have no borders!

I'm thinking it's probably just an error in my code, however I am stuck.

Could someone help me understand the problem here?
