A agree that a Wiki can be very helpful. However, for a software 
project, it's nice to have more. I recommend TRAC:

It's got a pretty nice Wiki, and also  a ticketing system, Milestones, 
SVN browser, etc. Also written in Python, and it's a very polished piece 
of software.
