wxPython and VLC

hi,
  I would like to embed VLC in a wxPython app mostly because of its ability to grab frames (snapshots) from a video unlike MediaCtrl. There are python bindings for VLC, but the widget are done using pygtk. Is there any way I can have a pygtk widget inside a wxPython frame in Windows? VLC itself has a wxWidgets GUI. 
   
  I am using wxPython 2.6.3 and Python 2.4. OS is Windows 2000.
