I'm trying to get some interaction between python and javascript running =
inside a browser control. I'd particularly like a solution that is =
browser independent and would work in IEHtml as well as wxWebkit, but a =
wxWebkit solution would be fine too.
I'd like to invoke a javascript function from python without resetting =
the page.
In particular, I would like to asynchronously cause some text to be =
appended to the end of a document without causing the page to be =
refreshed. In other words, setting the entire contents directly or =
indirectly is not okay. It has to be an inline change to the document. =
It must not cause scrolling, change of focus, loss of current selection, =
or any of that kind of thing that happens when the document as a whole =
gets updated.
Similarly, I would like to change the style class for a named block =
within the document (highlighting an item in a list, when selected, but =
that selection may happen due to python events).
These things are easy with javascript, so really it just comes down to =
the question of how to trigger the javascript code asynchronously from =
python in the wxPython app.
