Hi all,
Although the Google HOP contest is only open to ten projects this
time, one of those projects is Python, and I've spoken with the Python
project organizers and they've said they're fine with us submitting a
few wxPython-specific tasks for review. So I wanted to open up the
floor for some discussion on what tasks we should submit. The basic
rules are that once a student claims a task, s/he has 5 days to
complete it, and remember that they have school and such during that
time, so we should try to make tasks that would take approx. 1-2
evenings to complete.
Here's the ideas I have so far:
- Getting started with wxPython screencast (ideally using Editra and
XRCEd)
- Adding unit tests for an untested class (or filling out one that has
a lot of tests remaining)
- Integrating unit tests with the wxPython demo (we'll need to merge
unit tests into a release for this though)
- ??
Once we get some ideas and drill down the list to a few entries, we'll
submit them to the Python project organizers to be added to the task
list. I'd like to have this process completed by early next week (Wed.
latest), so if you have an idea, now is the time to say it! :-)
Thanks,
Kevin
