Ok, Kevin and I just looked in to this and figured out that it has 
something to do with putting the AUI manager directly on the frame.  If 
you put a panel on the frame and tell AUI to manage that instead then it 
should draw correctly.  We're still not sure why it only behaves this 
way on PPC, but since the universal binaries are built a little 
differently now (in order to be usable on both Panther and Tiger) that 
may have something to do with it.
