Darn -- that really should work , but py2exe can be a serious pain with 
complex packages.

I'll try to dig up my triangle mesh drawing code for you.

In the meantime, get the latest FloatCanvas distro (or SVN trunk) and 
take a look at the main demo, and all the little ones in the Demos dir.

What platform are you running? I'm still having issues with wxPython2.8 
on OS-X.
