Accents

Hello Friends,

I am developing an application for Windows, Mac and, on the future, Linux. My problem is how to share accented text files beetween platforms. Mac and Windows have different codes for accented characters. I am using ANSI version of wxPython. Is UNICODE the solution to my question? Or do I have to write some kind of characters conversion table? How simple is to take UNICODE text from a wxTextCtrl, put it on a file, and load it again on my program running on another platform?
