Darn. It should work with that version. I was remiss in testing 2.8. I 
have a newer version of FloatCanvas that I was hoping to get into the 
release, but didn't have a chance. I should at least fix that now.

Our firewall blocks cvs access, so it's a little tricker than it should 
be to make and submit patches.
