That's what mail filters are for. You create a folder for the list and 
create a filter that dumps all the messages with the subject line 
containing [wxPython-users] into that folder. Any decent mail client 
should be capable of this.

Digests are fine if you're only going to lurk, but if you want to 
participate, the filter approach wins.
