Responding to questions in the list

Hi everyone. This is slightly off-topic, but I was wondering what
method you all use to respond to particular topics in this mailing
list. All I can think of is to hit Reply, then delete everything I
don't need, then I have to change the To: address and the Subject to
reflect the topic I'm responding to. Is there a way I'm missing that
keeps everything in a preferred format?
