No, just busy with other things.

I hope to do a new 2.8.x release real soon (a couple weeks at most) as I 
need it for my own projects.  I'll be doing a new preview build within a 
few days.

If nothing comes up that derails the current plans, a 2.9.0 release from 
the wxWidgets team should happen within a few months.  After a few more 
2.9.x releases it will become 3.0.  See
