Checked out r52881 of both wxWidgets and wxPython, worked without any 
changes to the code. Thank you very much.
Note that the latest wxGtkCalendarCtrl updates in wxWidgets (r52891) 
will break the wxPython build chain again (which is no issue for me, 
I'll just stay with 52881 for the time being).
