I am just in the midst of installing my dev stuff onto a Vista machine.

Notices that the demo/doc are by default going into "Program Files".  
With the Vista UAC (security) stuff this is not a good place, especially 
for the demo as each time one changes a file it will be moved to 
virtualstore.

Maybe this default can be changed in a future release, e.g. to 
ProgramData (common application data), by default this one is hidden, so 
maybe a better idea is just drive:\wxPython or into 
drive:\Python\doc\wxPython.
