wxSplashScreen and modal dialog problem ?

If you have your own implementation anyway, could you create an error
function that could be called from the main application to show an error
dialog? Like that the splashscreen should be the parent and so the
error dialog should not hide behind it. I don't know if that works, just
thinking...
