  Hi,

OK, I did some more research: interestingly, both SWIG and Siloon
were made in Los Alamos NL and for the same purpose. Therefore, Siloon
seem to be a remake of the old idea. Now SWIG is a collection of
wrapper generators for perl, python, tcl/tk, eiffel etc., but it was
designed to support C and is not so well for C++. In particular,
(AFAIK), You cannot convert C++ class into Python class with SWIG. On the
other hand, SILOON supports Python and Perl interfaces only, but it
was designed for ANSI C++, so it is able to handle classes and even
advanced template constructs.
