cannot set aui caption with accent

Hi
I use 2.9 unicode mac.
When I put caption to aui pane with ansi chars, SavePerspective and 
LoadPerspective work great. But if one of the captions has an accent (a 
name from .po file) the load does not work correctly :

  assert "wxAssertFailure" failed in LoadPaneInfo(): Bad Perspective String

and the panes are not restored properly.
Do you know anything to do ?
