Hello,

I am writing a desktray program, using wxPYthon.
Currently I have two versions, a Linux and a Windows version.

Under Linux the program uses 69MB VIRT 34MB RES 15MB SHR in top.
Under Windows it uses 25MB in the task manager.

Some of my colleagues worry that this is too much for a desktop
applet, considering the proliferation of tray icons and programs.

My best option would be to move from wxPython to C++.
Has anybody done this before, and specifically:
How much did you gain by it?

Thanks,
Ron
