Able to skin wxDialog background but not wxFrame

Hi,

 

I've been researching the use of the SkinCrafter skinning engine with
wxWidgets.

 

I've been fairly successful so far and have managed to achieve most of
the effects I desire but I'm stuck with one issue.

 

I've been trying to apply a custom skin to the window background. I can
successfully apply the custom background skin to a wxDialog but I can
not apply the same custom skin to a wxWindow, wxFrame or wxPanel.

 

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could explain to me why I can
correctly skin the background of a wxDialog but not a wxFrame.

 

Here are the details of development environment.

 

IDE:                              Visual Studio 2005

OS:                              Windows XP Pro

Skinning Engine             SkinCrafter
