All that matters to me is that the bug for events being emit from sockets 
that have events disabled is patched. If I recall, it's already been 
fixed in svn head. But svn head (r51556 as of writing) doesn't build. 
It's been broken for as long as I can remember. debian/build_all bombs 
out on...
