Hi,
I've moved the wxWiki over to the wiki.wxwidgets.org server.
Update your bookmarks: http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/
What this means for you:
1) The wiki has been upgraded to the latest release of MediaWiki
(1.12.0), and with this upgrade comes numerous new user account
preference settings, and many new special pages to help identify pages
that could use some cleanup or work done. There are several other
improvements all over with this upgrade as well.
2) The email functionality of the wxWiki has been re-enabled now. This
means you can now request password reminders if you've forgotten your
password, and/or have the wiki notify you when pages on your watch
list or your user page are modified. The wiki can also notify you when
someone replies to any of your comments on any discussion page.
3) The wxWiki will soon support image uploads, so images will no
longer have to be linked from an outside source. Since this is a wiki
dedicated to a GUI toolkit, this has been a highly desired feature.
4) Page requests to the wiki are now more than 10 times faster on
average than what they used to be, and the issue of pages occasionally
not loading should be fixed entirely.
5) Shorter URLs - (i.e. http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/Tools rather than
http://www.wxwidgets.org/wiki/index.php/Tools )
Enjoy!
Regards,
Bryan Petty
