I just gave it a go and in SVN it seems to be fixed. I haven't tried 
real stereo rendering, just hacking the isosurf OpenGL example to 
request a stereo visual. In 2.8.4 this fails (I get no rendering at 
all), with 2.8.x SVN rendering is o.k. Now I have to wait for the next 
wxWidgets+wxPython release to actually get the fix :)
