Change fg/bg Colour for menu items [MSW2.9]

Sorry for my late response.
Yes, the ownerdrw sample is working.
I also added the font setting to my menuitem changes.
Unfortunately no effect.
When I am looking at the sample the menu item is added to the menu after 
setting the attributs.
In my case the complete menu tree already exists (from beeing created via 
XRC)
