2.8.3 not compiling on IRIX... strtoull issue?

Vadim,

At the risk of sounding ignorant, isn't the bk-deps scrip only used
when compiling the source code (and not the configuration setup)? The
string.cpp file is indeed being compiled with the C++ compiler.

Isn't the problem with configure -- the test program for checking for
strtoull is being built with the C compiler and not the C++ compiler?
