[2.8.1, Mac, XCode] ProgressDialog and aqua guidelines

I agree that the only change would be in sizers and their usage.

Looking at the code I see that the sizers ARE being used differently on dif=
ferent platforms. So it's just a matter of setting them correctly for Mac.

Basically, I think the HIG state that the cancel button should be at the bo=
ttom-right and not the bottom-center. Other than that, the time captions ap=
pear in a too large font (but I'm not 100% sure it's out of the HIG). =

Ultimately the position of the button is the main thing here, but if I do c=
hange this I'll go over the HIG and make sure everything is in place.

Cheers.

PS: If I'm not mistaken you're the Mac guy of WX, right? If so, could you p=
lease take a look at my post from 2-3 weeks ago regarding a possible bug in=
MDI. I'd like to provide a patch for that too unless you think it's not a =
bug and I missed something.

Hi

 =

it is the generic progress dialog which is used on all platforms IIRC, if y=
ou can provide patches that support the API which is needed for the progres=
s dialog, while supporting a more native look (you will need to use sizers =
to accommodate for different languages though), then this would be fine.

 =

I'm not aware of a specific layout proposed by the HIGs though, so what exa=
ctly would you want to change ?

Best,

Hi,

Looks like the progress dialog on Mac is far from looking native or close t=
o the Aqua guidelines Apple provide.

Is this intentional, or would fixing this be a blessed patch I can contribu=
te?
