wx2.8.4 msw Stuck with MDI parent frame not drawing

Solved.

It was simple, as I had expected, but I was looking in the wrong place.

In short, I hadn't initialised my event table correctly.

That also explains my quit behaviour wierdness as the docmanager  
became out of sync with what windows were still open.
