[Mac OS10.4.9, wxMac 2.8.4] Think my installation might be screwy

OK, so in order to avoid having a plethora of -I flags in my g++ 
command, I guess I'm supposed to supplement my default search path (and 
I got someone here to remind me how to do that).  Thanks!
