How to savely select fink's gcc4 on Mac OS X 10.3.9 having XCode 1.5 ?

Hi,

I got trouble with Jaakko Salli's current wxPropgrid on my Mac OS X
10.3.9 still having XCode 1.5.
Reading the documentation of the current XCode version, I am unable to
use it on my machine.

I tried to install gcc4 from fink and it is usable for my code,
because I know how to change my makefiles.

Reconfiguring the wxMac makefiles didn't helped to automatically
select the new compiler.

gcc_select doesn't support the version 4 :-(

What should I do ?

Currently I try to use wxMac 2.8.4.
