Why is wxPrintf undocumented?

I noticed that wxPrintf is used in some samples.

However, when looked for its documentation (I am using
wxMSW 2.6.3) I couldn't find any mention of it.

Why? Is it not recommended for use?

BTW, I was not looking for documentation in order to
find the format and how to call it - I understand that
it is pretty much like printf. However, I was trying
to find some background info such as limitations on
its use (e.g. console only?), relation to wxLog, etc.
