wxmsw2.8.4 control+[ doesn't work

On the mac, I can specify "Ctrl-[" as a keyboard shortcut for a menu  
command and it works just fine, but it doesn't work in Windows. Is  
there something special I need to do get this working? (Other keys,  
like Ctrl-O for open are just fine.) Or is this a quirk of windows  
that I just have to live with?
