[wxMSW 2.8.0] wxToolTips: how to get them working in a no message loop DLL??

I guess some sort of idle loop needs to be performed in order to let 
wxToolTips work.
Already tried sending wxIdleEvents to the window and manually calling 
OnInternalIdle() (I enabled and set tooltips delay, of course).

Any advice?
