How to prevent the toolbar from changing the status bar text?

Hello,

well, the subject says it all. When I have a frame with both toolbar and 
statusbar hovering mouse over toolbar icons (tools) changes the text in 
status bar. I want to prevent this.

Also, when mouse moves outside of toolbar, statusbar text gets blank. If 
it is not possible to prevent updating, I'd at least like to have some 
message when mouse is not over toolbar. I tried with PushStatusText, but 
it doesn't seem to work.
