[wxGTK 2.8.7] wxStatusBar text colour

Hi,

[wxGTK 2.8.7]

I am using a wxStatusBar under Kubuntu 7.04. If I change the KDE colour 
scheme so that "Standard Text" is changed to something else than black 
(yellow for example), then this is respected very well in my wxWidgets 
application, except for the wxStatusBar where the statusbar text fields 
still show black text.

This is an issue because the colour scheme is very dark and red (it shall be 
used for astronomy and normal colour schemes are blinding in the dark). But 
black on dark red is quite difficult to read, yellow on red works much 
better.

Is this a bug in wxStatusBar ?
