Hi,
I have understood from the wxGTK documentation that GTK+ 2.4 is
acceptable, but that 2.8 would be better. The improvements seem to be
in the use of native widgets. I'm using Solaris 10 (x86), and trying
to install wxPython 2.8.4.0, that I believe comes with wxWidgets 2.8.
The Solaris I have has GTK+ 2.4.9 installed. I have tried without
success so far to compile and install the latest version - 2.10. I
would appreciate any elaboration regarding GTK versions, so that I
might understand better what I would gain by using a later version
than 2.4.
Regards,
