   I'll check around a bit to see if I can detect more, but could a 
user/developer documentation be updated to indicate this behavior, 
stating that currently wxWidgets crashed with an access violation in 
case of an out-of-memory error instead of causing undefined behavior. 
User documentation should state that this is the current behavior by 
design and developer/hacking documentation should warn developers to 
think about this.
