automake & kdevelop

I used a wxwdiget project created with Kdevelop and merge with a DialogBlocks 
project

I am struggling with the Makefile.am to include images and various data to 
ship them into /usr/local/share/...

The only files concerned are
- macros/autogen.sh
- Makefile.am and others
- configure.in

I tried various ways (install-exec-hook, extra dist, ... ) to no avail..
I tried taking examples on existing project (wxMaxima) but without sucess 
either


does anyone works with kdevelop and has a working minimal working project 
which bundles the  images and doc in installation ? or any indication on how 
to do that?

is there any standard available (art, doc struture, etc..) it seems i found a 
different way of doing Makefile with every project

this is driving me nuts

any help appreciated..
