completely newbie question: compiling demos on mac os X....

Thanks for answering this one. My directory structure must be wrong:

The INSTALL-MAC.txt file said:

1) cd into the base dir
2) mkdir osx-build
3) cd osx-build
4) ../configure
5) make

I thought my "base dir" was: ~/wxMac-2.6.3 so therefore I have installed 
something in (got a lot of .o-files there) ~/wxMac-2.6.3/osx-build.

Here's some output from inside the samples dir:

apple:~/wxMac-2.6.3/samples mac$ ls *ake*.*
Makefile.in     makefile.dos    makefile.sc     makefile.wat
makefile.bcc    makefile.gcc    makefile.vc

apple:~/wxMac-2.6.3/samples mac$ make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.


Hmm.... Usually I just type "make" and then it automatically works... I 
don't know what it's complaining about...
