For us wxGTK is nice to have, not more. In the Linux world GTK is 
mainstream in the meanwhile but we have to run our software on unix 
plattforms where the admins don't want to maintain GTK and the hole 
stuff around 'cause it doesn't come from the OS vendor originally.

Another acceptable way would it be to link the whole gtk stuff ( gtk, 
cairo, pango,.. ) statically but we didn't managed it yet.

It's a pity. Thus the barrier to participate is imho quite large 'cause 
we need someone who overlooks the whole port and evaluates possible changes.
